Mr Leong Choon Cheong is a chinese builder that erected The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan in 1885. The tower originally din't tilt. But 4 years later, after its consturction finished, it started to tilt due to an underground stream.

It had a clock at the top of the tower, which still rings every 15 minutes.

The tower originally used as a water tower to supplying the area of the town. Other than that, the tower also served as a beacon to guide the ships into Teluk Intan Port.

Currently, the area around the tower was paved with bricks and became a plaza. The tower is now a local tourist attraction and no longer stores water.
