Teluk Intan Leaning Tower.

Teluk Intan, formerly known as Teluk Anson, is a city in Perak, Malaysia. Then one of the town attraction for Teluk Intan is the Leaning Tower (Menara Condong). The tower located in the main street at the centre of Teluk Intan called Jalan Ah Cheong, which is named after Mr Leong Choon Cheong to commemorate his contribution.

Mr Leong Choon Cheong is a chinese builder that erected The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan in 1885. The tower originally din't tilt. But 4 years later, after its consturction finished, it started to tilt due to an underground stream.

It had a clock at the top of the tower, which still rings every 15 minutes.

The tower originally used as a water tower to supplying the area of the town. Other than that, the tower also served as a beacon to guide the ships into Teluk Intan Port.

Currently, the area around the tower was paved with bricks and became a plaza. The tower is now a local tourist attraction and no longer stores water.
